Why every structure starts with the exit
Most borrowing conversations start with how much and how fast. Ours start with a different question: how will this be repaid?
A facility that looks attractive on day one can become a burden if the repayment path was never clear. Rates move. Businesses change hands later than planned. Asset values do not always follow the illustration.
Designing backwards
We map the likely repayment sources first: cash flow, a sale or liquidity event, a maturing asset, or the policy itself. Then we stress them. Only when the exit holds up under realistic conditions do we size and price the facility.
Staying with it
An exit planned at the start still needs attention. We review every facility at least once a year with the client and their advisors, and raise anything early, while there is time to act.
